Acceptable Use Policy
What you may and may not do with Sakura, with a focus on lawful, consented outreach.
Consent and lawful basis
Only import and contact people you have a lawful basis to contact. In the UK, unsolicited direct marketing by SMS to individuals generally requires prior consent under PECR; business-to-business messaging has a narrower carve-out but you must still identify yourself and honour objections. In other countries follow the local rules (for example prior express written consent under the US TCPA).
Do not import purchased, scraped or rented contact lists that you cannot demonstrate consent for.
Honour every opt-out immediately. Sakura records opt-outs and blocks future sends across your connected numbers; you must also honour opt-outs received by any other channel.
Messaging conduct
Identify yourself or your business in your messages and give a clear way to opt out.
Send only during reasonable local hours for the recipient.
Do not send unsolicited bulk messaging (spam) and do not attempt to evade carrier filtering, rate limits, or A2P registration requirements.
Prohibited content and use
No messaging that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit, or that facilitates fraud, phishing, malware or credential harvesting.
No content in carrier-restricted categories unless you are separately authorised for it — for example loans and lending, gambling, cannabis, firearms, prescription drugs, or third-party debt collection.
No using Sakura's research or generation to build profiles of individuals, to make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about a person, or for surveillance.
No attempts to reverse engineer, overload, probe or circumvent the security of the service, and no automated access outside the provided interface.
AI use
You must also comply with the usage policies of the AI provider you connect (Anthropic). Do not use generated content to impersonate a real person or to present as fact anything Sakura has not sourced.
Enforcement
We may remove content, throttle, suspend or terminate accounts that breach this policy, and may report unlawful activity to the authorities. Report abuse to [support@sakurascales.com].
